D.L. Suresh Babu, B.Com., B.L., F.C.A., aged 78 years, is a Senior Chartered Accountant. He is one of the youngest Chartered Accountants at heart, which is evident in how effortlessly he connects and converses with people of all ages and backgrounds. Given any opportunity, he first thinks about how he can help the person who approaches him and serves them with complete integrity.
Having witnessed the peak years of his profession, he now focuses on serving society with the wisdom and maturity he has accumulated over the years. He believes it is time to give back to the society that has given him so much in life.

He was a Central Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 1982 to 1985. He is a Trustee of M/s. Rangashree Vital Capacity Foundation and Srng Sampannappa Charities, and a Director at Alfa Financial Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd..
He served as a Director of The Lakshmi Vilas Bank from 2000 to 2008. He was also the Secretary and Vice President of the Karnataka State Chartered Accountants Association.
He has worked extensively for people with special needs, serving as Secretary of Bangalore Speech and Hearing, a prominent organization dedicated to individuals with speech and hearing impairments. He is also a Trustee of Awake Foundation, which focuses on empowering visually challenged children.
Additionally, he is the Managing Trustee of D.R. Lakshmi Ram Setty Charities Trust, Srinidhi Foundation, and Pranava Foundation.
Beyond Work
For D.L. Suresh Babu, the tagline “Refusing to retire at eighty” truly reflects his life and mission. As the senior partner and founder of Suresh and Co., he continues to work tirelessly for society. He strongly believes that as long as one is healthy, it is important to give back to society. According to him, the abundant blessings and mercy received from the Almighty should not be kept exclusively for oneself, but shared with those in need.
For the past seventeen years, he has been serving as the Secretary of Dr. S.R. Chandrashekar Institute of Speech and Hearing, working relentlessly to ensure quality education in speech and hearing is imparted to children. Through Sunaad School, he supports the training and development of hearing-impaired children so they can confidently join the mainstream of society. He also ensures that people with hearing difficulties receive proper support, and even those who cannot afford hearing aids are provided with them.
As a Trustee of Srng Sampannappa Charities, he helps provide free hostel facilities of a high standard to meritorious students from economically weaker backgrounds, irrespective of community.
As a Trustee of Awake Vishwa Seva Foundation, he supports nearly thirty visually challenged children by helping them pursue their education.
Through Srinidhi Foundation, scholarships are distributed to deserving students, old-age pensions are provided, and medical relief is extended to the needy.
Beyond his philanthropic activities, he is also an active tennis player and enjoys attending bhajans, music discourses, dance performances, and drama programs.
